    A Day in the Life of a Delivery Lead - EIM:

     

    The EIM Delivery Lead has dotted-line supervisory responsibility of a cross-functional team of Data Analysts and Developers within the EIM team.  This position is responsible for planning and managing the delivery of complex Enterprise Information Management projects on time, within budget, and with high quality.  This role works closely with Project Management to ensure all tasks are accounted for and that the work is assigned to appropriate resources.  Tasks in the project plan need to include estimates for requirements gathering, analysis, design, solution design, system and application configuration, development, unit testing, quality assurance testing, and  implementation.  The EIM Delivery Lead drives collaboration with the business, infrastructure, within the EIM team, and technology vendors to ensure that all project participants are effectively communicating and executing tasks as specified in the project plan.

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinate and manage multiple projects of small to large size and risk concurrently for successful, on-time implementation
    • Initiate, plan, execute, control, and implement complex EIM projects following the SDLC processes
    • Dotted-line supervision and coordination of a cross-functional team:
    • Identify appropriate resource needs
    • Assign work to team members
    • Contribute to periodic and annual employee performance evaluations
    • Plans goals and objectives for team members
    • Ensure that team members perform at a level to meet the delivery objectives
    • Identifies training needs for team members
    • Lead the planning for projects of high business complexity
    • Assists the project manager with detailed project plans, effort estimation, resourcing, costs estimation, critical path assessment, budgets and schedules
    • Lead and oversee customer and vendor relations to ensure that service expectations are met or exceeded
    • Monitors project metrics for significant deviations in quality, cost, or schedule
    • Monitors, documents, and reports all project risks and issues; leads mitigation and resolution efforts to limit risks; escalates as needed
    • Organize, lead, and document project meetings
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    What you can bring to Meridian:

     

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics / Math / Computer Science/Business Information/Business Administration is required, or equivalent work experience

     

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a data warehouse or big data environment
    • Minimum of 1 year experience demonstrating successful project management leadership
    • Minimum of 1 year experience of demonstrated success leading and delivering projects
    • Minimum of 1 year experience with SDLC, including agile methodologies
    • Supervisory experience preferred
    • System and/or Business Analysis experience preferred
    • Application development experience preferred
    • Experience in planning, designing, developing, maintaining, and deploying BI applications
    • Healthcare experience and related payer business knowledge is a big plus

     

    Knowledge:

    • Data warehousing architectures, including Inmon, Kimball, and denormalization
    • Data modeling, data structures, star schemas, denormalized data sets, point in time concepts
    • Reporting and analytics
    • Healthcare payer industry knowledge
    • Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, and Outlook

     

    Skills:

    • Strong project management, leadership, and organization skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
